  • 08:30 – Start the trek
    • Meet your local jungle guide in Tangkahan.
    • Begin walking into the jungle toward Bat Cave.
    • The trek follows natural jungle trails through Gunung Leuser National Park.
  • Morning – Jungle trekking
    • Learn about the plants, trees and wildlife from your local guide.
    • Look for monkeys, birds, orangutan, animal tracks and other signs of wildlife.
    • Stop for short breaks and tropical fruit along the way.
  • Around midday – Bat Cave
    • Arrive at Bat Cave after several hours of trekking.
    • Explore the natural cave with your guide.
    • The cave exploration takes about an hour.
    • See the bats and other small creatures living inside the cave.
    • The cave can be wet, slippery and dark, so suitable footwear is important.
  • Lunch – In the jungle
    • Enjoy lunch beside the river in the middle of the rainforest.
    • Take time to relax and enjoy the surroundings after the trek.
  • After lunch – Natural hot spring
    • Visit the natural hot spring near the cave and river.
    • Relax and cool down before starting the journey back.
  • Afternoon – River tubing
    • Start the journey back toward Tangkahan by river.
    • Float downstream through the rainforest on an inner tube.
    • Enjoy the river and jungle scenery from the water.
  • Finish – Back at your hotel
    • Leave the river and return to your hotel area.
